Ivy Griffin- IMF# 63108 Sacramento Office Only

Life can be difficult, challenging, painful, unexpected. It can be full of joys and full of heartaches. Sometimes we need someone to walk with us on our journey and to offer support, with kindness and honesty, through our struggles and triumphs. Ivy believes this is the foundation of therapy and cares deeply about supporting her clients in their journeys. Using integrated theoretical strategies, Ivy has experience working with children, adolescents, individuals and families to address their problems, improve their communication and facilitate their creation of a happier, more fulfilled self with more meaningful, satisfying relationships in their lives. Natalie Grindy- IMF #61611- Roseville Office Only

Natalie’s true heart in practicing therapy is to walk along side others with the goal of healing and fulfillment. She is currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and has been in the counseling field since 2006. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Psychology from Chapman University in 2009 and a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from California State University, Sacramento. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, and families struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, chemical dependency, self harm, trauma, and abuse. Natalie has engaged closely with government programs including Probation, Foster care, Child Protective Services, and Intensive Day Treatment Centers. She was recently a counselor at a residential program for women, helping them overcome life controlling issues utilizing biblical principles. Outside the “office”, Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. 

 

Nicole Kuznicki - Roseville Office Only

As a counselor, Nicole strives to bring awareness, wholeness and health to her clients. She has a true presence with her clients and values the therapeutic relationship. Nicole's strengths are her ability to provide empathy, her caring nature, her strength in remaining objective, and her honest motivation to help others. She works with families and individuals and really enjoys working with couples as well. She believes that when we are offered the tools that we need to succeed in relationships and in life, we are offered the ability to live a happy and meaningful life.

 

 

Suzy Lee- IMF #64620- Folsom and Roseville Offices

Suzy is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (in both our Roseville and Folsom offices) who believes that everyone has an inner strength that sometimes gets lost in the traumas of life, but through the process of counseling one can begin to find that inner strength again. She has her Bachelorʼs Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and her Masterʼs Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. She enjoys working with all clients but she specializes in working with adolescents and their families as well as with couples and individuals. Suzy especially enjoys helping couples improve their communication, resolve conflict and improving co-parenting. James Marrelli- Roseville Office Only

James draws on many years of his own evolution and growth along with a successful background and career in business to help his clients engage and overcome barriers to their own growth and development.   He believes in healing and growing the Self from the three dimensions of body, mind and spirit; supported on a solid foundation of personal integrity, authenticity and humility.  James is in training for licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy; a new career for him that has been on his mind for nearly 15 years.  His curious and passionate nature together with his listening skills, empathy and a touch of intuition provide him with the tools and skill needed to support clients dealing with marriage, family, depression, grief, substance abuse and other invitations to change and growth that we are sometimes faced with along life's path.

 

Jenny Pappalardo- IMF #56863- Roseville Office Only

Jenny is currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who believes that life comes in all different entities, which makes us unique as individuals. With this said, she takes compassion and her inquisitive nature to pursue a commonality of deep growth and understanding towards each client in order to build a secure and warm environment. Jenny work with children, teenagers, individuals and families. Jennys' specialties are: Oppositional behavior, Adjustment Disorder, child abuse, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, self-harming behaviors, divorce, communication skills, drug and alcohol recover, buildling self-confidence, and spiritual growth with one's self. 

 

Dennis Pottenger- IMF #66878- Roseville Office Only

A compassionate listener, Dennis is gifted at guiding his clients through dark and painful places. He draws on tools and skills that match his client's goals and strengths to help people struggling with trauma, depression, and anxiety transform painful and debilitating inner conflict into new meaning and expanded possibilities. He works with individuals, couples and famlies in healing through experiences of loss, relationship issues, and challenging life changes. Dennis has a flexible schedule including evening and weekend appointments. 

 

Elizabeth Sheesley- IMF #68041- Roseville Office Only

Elizabeth is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a natural skill for guiding others on their journey to becoming the people they strive to be. Elizabeth enjoys working with all individuals, couples, and families who have a desire to better themselves and grow. She has a great deal of experience working with adolescents as well as those struggling with anxiety, self-harm behaviors, relationship issues, and low self-esteem. Elizabeth acts as a support person for her clients as they navigate difficult areas of life, while encouraging them to view life’s circumstances from new perspectives. Elizabeth holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology form California State University, San Marcos.

 

Jessica Wuester- IMF pending- Roseville Office Only

Jessica is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology from Park University and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology with Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University.  Jessica believes every person has the capacity to realize their goals and become the person they want to be.  Jessica has experience working with families, couples, individuals and adolescents struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, defiant and or oppositional behavior, trauma, self-harm, abuse, ADHD, communication skills, domestic violence, and PTSD.  Jessica also has extensive experience working with children grades 3-8 to decrease behaviors such as acting out at school and/or home, improving social skills, coping with divorce, imprisonment of a parent, and/or loss of any type and creating more healthy relationships within the family.  

 

Kate Van Parys- IMF 57774- Roseville Office Only


Kate is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from St. Mary’s College and a Master’s degree in Counseling from CSU East Bay. Kate is passionate about helping others discover their full potential and learn to live happy, healthy lives. Kate believes counseling is a respectful and compassionate partnership, in which therapist and client collaborate to work toward agreed-upon goals. Kate has extensive experience working with teenagers and adults struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, domestic violence, grief, and a history of abuse. Kate has also worked with children and teenagers to decrease behaviors such as acting out at school and at home, as well as to improve social skills, cope with divorce, and create healthy relationships within the family system.  Kate enjoys working with individuals and families of all ages and believes each person has the power and the ability to reach their goals and develop into the person they wish to be.See more at www.CounselingWithKate.com
