Who we are...

Since 1988, The Place Within has offered affordable low fee counseling based on a client's household income and ability to pay (ranging $25-$80/sessions). This means that we strive to make high quality counseling an option for those who may not otherwise have access.


Our counselors are highly trained and supervised interns and trainees, whose desire is to facilitate and support your growth and journey from the other-directed life to the inner-directed life.

We believe that this life can be very hard at times. People can be injured and feel lost. Our hearts can become badly bruised and feel defeated. We can sometimes feel as if we do not know the way back to healing.

And yet, there is a Place Within each of us that remains untouched and undamaged.  The Place Within which calls us out of our pain into a better life than we knew existed. The Place Within, where there is quiet and peace.

We each have this place. Sometimes we lose sight of it, and struggle to find our way back. But we believe it never disappears, and it is our mission to be a guide back to yourself, and The Place Within you.
