About The Place Withing Counseling Center

Founded in 1988, The Place Within has a simple mission: To make high-quality professional counseling available to those who could not otherwise afford it. We offer counseling for individuals, couples and families on a sliding fee scale ($50-110 a session). With a staff of over 10, we have a variety of skills and backgrounds to serve you. We are a nonprofit.

We believe that this life can be very hard at times. People can be injured and feel lost. Our hearts can become badly bruised and feel defeated. We can sometimes feel as if we do not know the way back to healing.    And yet, there is a Place Within each of us that remains untouched and undamaged.  The Place Within which calls us out of our pain into a better life than we knew existed. The Place Within, where there is quiet and peace.  We each have this place. Sometimes we lose sight of it, and struggle to find our way back. But we believe it never disappears, and it is our mission to be a guide back to yourself, and The Place Within you.
