I am a marriage and family therapist associate (AMFT # 113131). I believe everyone can benefit from someone walking with them in life and, with intention,  listen to their story. The ability to draw out and uncover possible trouble spots or to give insight, I believe to be a special skill that, sometimes, can only be done in a therapeutic relationship.

I am passionate about helping marriages, couples, individuals, husbands, wives, and parents be the best they can be or even helping those in trouble get to places where they never thought possible.  Having worked with people in various environments for over 15 years I am familiar with our brokenness in humanity and see hope for us all to become whole people. Whether you desire a listening ear or need help battling depression or anxiety, I am willing to help.

I am not limited to one theory of therapy as each person is individual and may respond in different ways. It is important to me to hear each person and provide finding a path that will work for them. I look forward to working with you and/or your family. I received my undergraduate in Psychology from Sacramento State Unviersity and a Master’s Degree at Brandman University. I am available on Monday and Tuesday.

As a counselor (ASW #87557), I consider it an honor to work beside individuals who have the courage and willingness to see vulnerability as a strength and conscious change as a necessary risk for growth. I believe that moving through our pain allows the development of purpose, perspective and meaning. It is a privilege and pleasure to walk with clients as they learn to release themselves from judgement. I am honored to act as their guide through this profound process of personal healing and transformation.

My experience is grounded in over thirty years of marriage, parenting children to adulthood, lifelong learning and education. I received a Masters Degree in Social Work from Sacramento State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with an emphasis in Child and Family studies. I hold a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS-C) and a certification in trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT). I volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children and families. My practice emphasizes compassion while working with clients as they gain awareness toward their own unique healing process.

As a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT# 124299), I bring a genuine approach to therapy.  All of us experience challenges in our lives and sometimes we need someone to help us find answers to life’s questions. I know first-hand, that beginning counseling can be uncomfortable. You are not alone. Personally, I’ve experienced being on the client side of the couch and in part became a therapist because I’ve seen the benefit that therapy can have on a person’s life.

As a therapist, I find it rewarding to hear people’s stories and to watch people evolve as they build trust with me and work through their challenges. Because I have learned that one size does not fit all, I develop interventions through understanding where you are coming from and gaining knowledge around where blocks occur in your life.

Your growth and success are my focus, so I make sure to go into each session with an open mind and provide options that best suit you. Therapy is a process, and I aim to make the experience something that you can apply in different facets of your life.
I have experience working with adults, couples, children, and teens.  My educational background includes a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Brandman University. In my spare time,

I enjoy spending time with my children, snowboarding, hiking, reading, and camping. I look forward to meeting you.

I have been intrigued with the field of psychology and helping others since I can remember. I grew up in Southern California, the oldest of four kids. After graduating with my B.A. in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and then getting my M.A in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University, I moved away to help support my husband in his career. We traveled and lived in many different states all around the country, had kids and have since landed in Northern California where we enjoy exploring the beautiful outdoors as a family.

The years between graduating and becoming a registered intern, have been filled with life's challenges, grief, parenthood, transitions, entrepreneurship and much more. I am currently in the process of gaining my hours as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, #122311.

I enjoy working with couples, families, kids, adolescents, teens and young adults who have had a variety of emotional and relational issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, establishing boundaries, parenthood, maternal mental health and navigating life’s transitions. I approach each session with curiosity and am humbled by the stories I am privileged to. Together, we can work on bringing healing and restoration to relational wounds.

My therapeutic approach is founded on the idea of companionship; As an individual, or a couple, or a family- you have been wandering various paths. These paths take many forms, some helpful and some not.

My therapeutic approach is founded on the idea of companionship; As an individual, or a couple, or a family- you have been wandering various paths. These paths take many forms, some helpful and some not.

Outsiders observers may point in a direction and tell you where to go or how to get there. The idea that  "that's where the end is", that that's where or how things will get 'better'. But what good does that really do? If that outsider isn't going to walk down that path with you- if they won't be there if it splinters? If the way is blocked? If you want to give up?

The process of therapy allows someone to walk that path with you, even if just for a moment. A companion that can motivate you, challenge you, or simply be with you. I believe that therapy shouldn’t be someone telling you how to live, it should be someone asking you who you want to be and helping you to get there.
I am a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #7703 and Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #119016. I received my Master's Degree from Western Seminary Sacramento, CA and my Bachelor's Degree at William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA.

I prefer for clients to get to know me and what I bring to the table during our sessions.  With that being said I do understand that sometimes being able to read about the therapist can help someone decide is this the right person for you as not every therapist will be the right fit for you.

As a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT#128655) I believe that every client is unique and deserves to be treated as such, and my goal as a therapist is to utilize many different therapeutic approaches to walk alongside my clients in their journey. I strive to create an open, authentic, genuine, and compassionate environment where clients can feel comfortable expressing the worries, troubles, and challenges they face.

I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, individuals, couples, etc. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in communications at the University of Nevada Reno and just recently completed my Master’s in counseling psychology marriage and family therapy track at National University. I have a passion for walking alongside people as they journey through different and unique portions of their lives. Everyone experiences times where they need someone to help them heal and grow through difficult and challenging times. My approach to counseling is to provide a safe place for individuals to be vulnerable and ultimately felt heard. Through the therapeutic relationship an individual can discover new and empowering aspects about themselves. I believe that through counseling everyone is given an opportunity to build a genuine connection with their counselor and take steps to discovering and building a better sense of self.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee and currently obtaining my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine through the Townsend Institute. I also currently work at Warren T. Eich Middle School where I work in a Special Education classroom and co-coach the 8th grade boys basketball team. I have a passion for working with kids and sports. I played both volleyball and basketball at Sierra College and William Jessup University. In my spare time I love spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and playing cards.

I have a non-judgmental, empathetic heart that makes space for anyone. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, teenagers, LGBTQ+, and anyone who just needs a listening ear.

I thoroughly take pleasure in helping others see their own potential while also gaining a greater sense of autonomy in their lives. Life is hard at times, and depression and anxiety are something that one can experience, especially in these past two years. I am here to partner with you, to help you manage those symptoms, explore some hidden and maybe not so hidden feelings, and help you gain perspective. My clients are an inspiration to me and seeing their personal growth is one of my greatest celebrations.

I received my BA from Dominican University May,  2003 and my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University April, 2021. When I’m not doing therapy I am playing with my dogs, spending time with my children and husband, or searching for a new recipe to try. I believe life has many different seasons, some painstakingly hard and others, bright and beautiful. I am honored to hear your story.

I have found that none of us are alone in what we face and by joining together, we are stronger to make it through to the other side of a better tomorrow and promising future.

Using different therapeutic modalities and integrated approaches, I tailor each therapy plan to suit the client's needs and what best approach can facilitate success for my clients and their future. I believe strongly in the client-therapist relationship and building it on a foundation of trust, respect, and security.

I value the importance of helping my clients have hope, feel valued, shown empathy, and given unconditional positive regard. An environment of peace to facilitate healing is always the expectation when a client comes in.

It can be really challenging to start to work on wounds that have harmed us for so long. My purpose of therapy is to walk alongside you during your time of need as well as your time of comfort. You are the expert of your own self and with my help we can work on teasing out some of the pain and the hurt to heal open wounds.

I follow a theoretical approach of integrative, collaborative, and experiential therapy. This means that I like to work with my clients to tailor therapy to their direct needs and goals. I am open to seeing all types of clients including individuals, couples, families, children, and the LGBTQIA+ community. I am also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) which can be a great therapeutic tool to work through trauma.

I am excited to have you here. Therapy can start whenever you are ready, and I'll be here to help.
